It was a brand new day at Camp Aspen Grove, and an exciting one at that. Camp had finally opened for the summer, and after a week of preparing, it was time for the first group of campers to arrive. Elion had a smile plastered across his face as he strode across the field towards the cabins, the sun illuminating his features. He had gotten the news that he would be sharing the Cedar cabin with a new counselor earlier that morning, and he was excited to meet them for the first time. Elion was always overjoyed to meet new people, see new faces. That was part of the reason he wanted to be a camp counselor in the first place, he adored the social interactions that came with the job, maybe a little too much at times. As he approached the cabin, he stopped to pick a wildflower for his new cabin counselor roommate, a friendly welcome gift, twisting the stem between his fingers as he hummed cheerfully to himself, walking onwards. He climbed the steps to the cedar cabin, knocking once, twice, before opening the door, instantly greeted by the new counselor. "Hi!" He smiled, handing them the flower he had picked previously.
