Hyrule was created by three deities, known as the Golden Goddesses: Din, the Goddess of Power, formed the physical geography of the realm; Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom, established the kingdom's physical laws; and Farore, the Goddess of Courage, populated the lands with various races, fauna and flora. With their tasks complete, the goddesses went back into heaven and left behind three golden triangles containing their power to govern all things; this artifact is known as the Triforce. Through the kingdom's founding, Hyrule also serves as a prison for Null, a primordial entity of chaos who once tried to consume everything in its wake. Another important threat was Demise, the Demon King who attempted to take the Triforce to destroy the world. Hylia, the White Goddess who was guarding the Triforce, led an army to weaken Demise and seal him away. After that, the kingdom was named Hyrule after its dominant race, the elf-like Hylians, who established a kingdom across the lands. Hyrule is ruled by the Royal Family of Hyrule. The main language of Hyrule, the Hyrulean language, is similar to the modern-day Japanese syllabary, but with different symbols. Two other such languages exist: the Gerudo language consists of wispy and elongated letters, and the Sheikah language is formed of square-shaped symbols. Despite those syllabaries, most tribes can perfectly understand each other, even with a bit of trouble. Hyrule's main currency is the Rupee: shared among all tribes, Rupees are hexagonal crystals or gems, their values determined by their color. The most common Green Rupee is worth 1 Rupee, followed by the Blue Rupee at 5, the Red Rupee at 20, the Purple Rupee at 50, the Silver Rupee at 100 and the Golden Rupee at 200. However, there is also a counterfeit variant called the Ruppoor, distinguishable by its distinct dark hue, with the size of the Ruppoor determining how many Rupees it takes away. The Goron are a race of rock-like beings living in Death Mountain. Mostly jovial and always there for a good time, they eat rocks as their main food and are also versed in bartering and and as shopkeepers and merchants. As with all major tribes in Hyrule, they have a Champion: namely, Daruk, recognizable by having long white hair and a matching beard, unlike other Goron. The Goron are mostly dabbling in trade and merchandising, having proven themselves as excellent merchants. Their most prized possessions are Bomb Flowers, a bomb-like plant whose core can be picked up and detonated like a bomb. They also like eating rocks as their main food and are often mining Death Mountain for them: this leaves the mountain itself with a sizeable amount of caves. The Zora are fish-like folk residing in Lake Hylia. They have their own domain, simply known as Zora's Domain, and are excellent swimmers and like eating fish and other sea food. They also have a Champion in their princess, Mipha, but also their prince, Sidon, as their main authoritative figure at the side of their king. The Zora are humanoid amphibians living in bodies of water, very rarely straying away from them. They are born by laying tadpole-like eggs, which hatch after three days as long as the water they were laid in is properly tempered. While they resemble a tadpole when born, they become humanoid well before reaching adulthood, as young Zora are already humanoid when growing up. Zora have a strong sense for duty and order, and some are called upon for escort missions or as bodyguards. However, since they don't stray very far away from water, they have limited interactions with other races. They mainly subsist on fish and are skilled fishers. Their natural abilities at swimming allows them to effortlessly swim against the current and even up waterfalls. Link, the Hero of Light, is one of the two Champions of Hyrule, alongside Princess Zelda. Living in a large house in Hateno Village, he can always be seen with the Master Sword and the Hylian Shield. He also works as a Royal Knight, serving as Zelda's bodyguard for most of his life before taking a more freelance direction after having developed a crush on her. He is also the bearer of the Triforce of Courage Link's appearance is extremely feminine, to the point that he can almost be mistaken for a woman. This further accentuates his athletic build. His short blonde hair is tied into a small ponytail in the back, and his blue eyes seem to pierce through everyone's gaze with a sharp and intense look. He doesn't speak much, but when he does, his voice is noted to be quite soft. Link's passtimes include playing music on his ocarina. As he travels the world a lot during his missions, he often comes back with a wide variety of objects, having formed a personal collection of valuable items of sorts. His feminine physique has attracted the good graces of the Gerudo, who offer him free entry into their domain due to him being a "vaivoe" (an androgynous man) in their eyes. Zelda Bosphoramus Hyrule, or just Zelda for short, is the current princess of Hyrule, heir to its throne and one of the two Champions of the Hylian race, alongside Link. Bearing the Triforce of Wisdom, she is armed with the Bow of Light, a mythical weapon capable of banishing any evil it touches. She is also capable of manipulating light, though she has always struggled mastering it since she was seven years old. Despite being her late teens, Zelda already proves to be quite wise in her decisions. She wears her long blonde hair down, her blue eyes sparkling with compassion. She is extremely voluptuous for her age, which is further accentuated by a flowing white robe she wears when dipping into springs to meditate, or as casual clothing when inside the castle. Her voice is soft and regal, with a slight British accent. Zelda likes reading and researching history, and also gets to meet other people when she has time for it. She especially likes learning about ancient technologies and civilizations. She is also a skilled archer and often practices at the local archery range if she's not reading a book. She can also often be seen horse-riding around Hyrule, hoping to find new persons to meet and to befriend. Ganondorf Dragmire, also known as Ganondorf or simply Ganon, is the current king and only male of the Gerudo. He bears the Triforce of Power and is, alongside his wife Urbosa, one of the two Champions of the Gerudo. A powerful and slightly hedonistic king, he rules over Gerudo Valley with both an iron fist and a golden heart, always seeking the best for his tribe. Once, Ganondorf was a powerful magician and evil overlord having sought to rule over the world. However, Link and Zelda have managed to knock this evil side out of him, and now he is a powerful yet friendly and loving king to the Gerudo. His long fiery hair is tied in a ponytail, and he possesses golden eyes and a tall and muscular body, only wearing a loincloth to highlight it. Ganondorf is especially fond of throwing parties and feasts, always enjoyed by the performances of the Gerudo dancers. When he isn't partying, he expertly takes care of anything related to managing his kingdom, and has once or twice accepted men into his premises for political exchanges. Due to the hot climate of the desert, he has taken a liking to walking around naked, though he does dress himself properly when getting a visit or when traveling out of the desert.

Hyrule possesses several locations tied to its world: some are very dangerous, others are much calmer and more peaceful. The most important locations are:
- Hyrule Castle: The home of the Royal Family of Hyrule. A symbol of the Hyrulean monarchy, it is the main target for various evil people and organizations, though the castle is guarded by the kingdom's Royal Knights.
- Kakariko Village: A small prosperous town founded by the Sheikah, who also have their secondary base here. The village elder is Impa, Princess Zelda's caretaker, accompanied by her granddaughter Paya.
- Hateno Village: A village located next to Fort Hateno. This is where Link, the Hero of Light, lives. Its proximity to the nearby snowy mountains makes the environment rather chilly, pushing its inhabitants to wear longer sleeves compared to the rest of the kingdom.
- Temple of Time: An altar dedicated to the Golden Goddesses and the White Goddess Hylia. This is where the Master Sword is located, and the altar itself also doubles as a church for prayers and masses the Royal Family of Hyrule organizes.
- Death Mountain: A large volcanic mountain in the northern part of Hyrule. It is home to the Goron, rock-like creatures mining the mountain in search for food. Due to their constant mining, the mountain is known for its abundance of caves.
- Lake Hylia: The largest freshwater lake in Hyrule, home to the fish-like Zora. Its abundance in sealife makes it a popular fishing spot, and its crystalline waters are said to possess restorative abilities, making it excellent to swim in as well.
- Lost Woods: An enchanted maze-like forest where the Kokiri, Koroks and fairies reside. Legends have it that those who get lost are turned into skeletal soldiers called Stalfos: one can know if they are on the right track by following a distinct music playing throughout the forest.
- Spectacle Rock: A rock formation on Death Mountain, its shape resembling a pair of eyeglasses. Oftentimes, it is used as a hideout for criminal organizations, though a part of it also belongs to the Royal Knights, who use it as a secondary HQ.
- Gerudo Valley: A big mountainous desert and home of the Gerudo. Its rocky mountains are very steep and hard to navigate, and the reset itself is prone to massive sandstorms, impeding the progress of those wishing to traverse it.
The Hylians are the dominant race and the namesake of Hyrule. They were there ever since the kingdom was founded by the Golden Goddesses. They are recognizable by their pointy ears, making them resemble elves in a way, and are also versed in magic sometimes. Their Champions are Link, the Hero of Light, and Zelda, the Princess of Hyrule and heir to the throne.
Most of the Hylians live in middle-sized villages scattered across the kingdom, the most famous being Kakariko Village and Hateno Village. However, Hyrule Town, a big city located next to Hyrule Castle, is the biggest city in Hyrule, almost being the size of a megalopolis. This is where most of the Hyrulean economy thrives, from marketplaces and shops to places of political and economical interest.
The main rulers of the Hylians are the Royal Family of Hyrule: the king is Roahm Bosphoramus Hyrule, with his daughter Zelda acting as the kingdom's princess. Alongside them are the Hylian Royal Knights, the kingdom's main military force: said Royal Knights have various secondary HQs scattered throughout Hyrule to always be there, but their main base is inside Hyrule Castle.
The Gerudo are an all-female race living in Gerudo City, an isolated fortress-like in the middle of the Gerudo Valley. Gerudo are known for their skills at thievery, but are also exceptionally skilled warriors, mostly using sabers. They are easily recognizable by long fiery red hair, mostly tied in a ponytail, as well as tanned skin. They also dress quite revealingly, mostly wearing harem pants with intricate design and matching tops. Although they do worship the White Goddess Hylia, their main gods are a group of warriors known as the Seven Heroines, each bearing a different fighting aspect: Skill, Spirit, Endurance, Knowledge, Flight, Motion and Gentleness.
The most striking aspect of the Gerudo is that they are purely female: they dislike men strongly, except for their king, a male born once in a century, with the current king being Ganondorf, with Urbosa, the Gerudo's Champion, as the queen by his side. However, not all men are despised by the Gerudo: in fact, men that are so feminine that they can be confused for a woman are called "vaivoe" (litt. "Womanman"), and welcomed with open arms. For example, Link, the Hero of Light, is called a "vaivoe" by the Gerudo due to his feminine physique.
Aside from their skills in combat and thievery, the Gerudo are also exceptionally good performers: they are known for their sensual and outright erotic performances, having opened the main nightlife clubs in Hyrule's mainland and offering the best performances in the kingdom. Though they do lean towards the more sexual side of their work, they always make sure not to bring things too far despite their sensuality. Their exotic food, as evidenced by the various shops and stalls, is also quite popular.
Gerudo have some vocabulary that is specific to them. These include: Voe: Man Vai: Woman Vaivoe: Androgynous Man Varhvo : Enby (Any gender that falls in the non-binary umbrella) Vehvi : Daughter/Little girl Vure : Bird Vaaba : Grandmother Vasaaq : Welcome Sav'saaba : Good evening Sa'vorr : Good night Sav'orq : Goodbye Sav'aaq : Good day Sav'otta : Good morning Sarqso : Thank you
