Taer dropped out of high school to work jobs full time, but he never made enough, so he took up street fighting and learned how to fight from getting beat up constantly in fights. Taer got better through observation of other fighters and eventually became better and better and became a well known and feared streetfighter. Taer developed internalized homophobia due to rampant homophobia and toxic masculinity in the street fighting community and refuses to acknowledge that he is gay in fear of being seen as ‘weak’ and ‘feminine.’ Taer gets money from people gambling on him during fights, and he uses most of it to help his mom stay afloat.
