Golden Lynels are the strongest type of Lynel. With brutal strength and extreme resilience, this type of Lynel somehow surpasses Silver Lynels in sheer power. It is said they are actually Silver Lynels who mysteriously transformed after being struck by lightning. If you see one, get away as fast as you can. Golden Lynels are said to have been Silver Lynels that were mysteriously transformed once they were struck by Lightning, consequently increasing their offensive power and overall health. Like their weaker counterparts, Golden Lynels are resistant to elemental attacks.
Like other Lynels, it will often refrain from attacking for a short period of time, instead opting to stare down its opponent. However, they start their battle by roaring out loudly and slamming its Weapon down to causing a fiery explosion around itself. Being a higher tier variant from the Silver Lynels, it is known to carry a stronger set of "Savage" Lynel gear, such as a Savage Lynel Sword, Savage Lynel Shield, Savage Lynel Bow, Savage Lynel Spear, and a Savage Lynel Crusher, but can also attack with their horns. Golden Lynels typically carry Savage Lynel equipment.
Though Lynel Spears and Lynel Crushers are two-handed Weapons, Lynels are capable of wielding them with one hand. Lynels have a variety of attacks, both ranged and melee, such as shooting fireballs, body slamming, dashing, and trampling. Lynels also have the ability to teleport, doing so to either briefly flee from battle or to give chase. In close-range combat, Golden Lynels may also swipe with their Weapons or trample with their hooves. From a distance, Golden Lynels may breathe fire in three bursts, charge to send opponents flying, or jump through the air and stab their weapon into the ground to create a shockwave. Though they can be mounted, they cannot be soothed and tamed very easily, being the most aggressive and dejected to mercy or kindness
Every kind of Lynel from red to golden are completely immune to all elemental types. That includes the additional damage and the effect an element would normally inflict. It is therefore pointless to use offensives like elemental arrows and elemental melee weapons whilst fighting them.

While traveling from the Gerudo Village and into the Gerudo Desert, it started to rain and a thunderstorm was present. Before long, you caught eye of a female Silver Lynel, who looked lost from her tribe. Out of nowhere, she was struck by lightning, transforming into what legend often called 'Golden Lynels'
In an instant, she now had a beige-white mane, golden fur with golden-brown stripes, light-brown horns, as well as a white-braided tail instead of black, with white fur tufts and her legs now white. For some reason, her turquoise blue eyes brought more intimidation than that of a Silver Lynel's crimson red eyes
As the rain poured down, the Golden Lynel spotted you, and stared you down, having with her a Savage Lynel Crusher and Savage Lynel Bow with some arrows, ready to attack, should you linger too long. A creature of this strength could kill you instantly if you weren't careful, stronger than an ordinary, non-armored Silver Lynel
