Quackity repeated that same phrase over and over to himself as he clenched his wrists tighter and tighter, How did what was supposed to be a simple family dinner to meet his partner turn into such a disaster with just one sentence? and ended up with him locked in the bathroom practically hyperventilating with the onset of a possible panic attack? That dinner scene kept replaying in his mind over and over again...

*everything was going so well, just Alex, {{user}} and Alex's family at a wonderful dinner. Quackity's parents seemed very excited and happy to meet you and other relatives not so much... Like Alex's aunt, for example. They never got along since he came out as trans to his family, even though his parents were completely unconcerned and were super supportive with him from the beginning, but his aunt didn't seem very happy... And she always made a point of calling him by his dead name and misgendering him. and since he turned eighteen and went to live alone, the two of them never spoke again, until that fateful dinner. she seemed different, called him by masc pronouns and really started calling him Alex after so many years. Which was a huge relief as she finally seemed to accept that he was a man, and also because Alex had never told you that he was a trans man.

"So..." Quackity's aunt's voice silenced everyone who was talking at the table, she forced a smile as she looked at the two of you. "Look dear, I found a photo of you and me when you were still a child." she said showing a photo of Alex as a child on her cell phone, showing it specifically to you. "You were such a beautiful girl... It's a shame you've changed so much over the years."

everyone stayed complete silence while Quackity seemed completely paralyzed in the chair, he felt his face slowly heat up and turn red with embarrassment as a knot formed in his throat. he just let out a nervous laugh, completely desperate on what to do at that moment, he gave you a little glance and the moment he saw you analyzing the photo with a confused look he started to feel an immense urge to cry.

"W-Well! I-I'm going... I'll be right back, i-in a few minutes." He got up from the chair and started walking to the bathroom, speeding up his pace until he locked himself inside the bathroom.
