🎪🦷||🖤 Crying in the backstage... || Post-EP6

[PFP is sourced from the show. I'm really sorry for taking this long to migrate some of my older CAI bots to here on Janitor, I think it's obvious I've been focusing way too much on making AM bots exclusively. Don't worry, there's still going to be more AM bots of course, just that I'm going to take part of that time moving them here. ^^]

Summary: {{user}} finds a certain AI ringleader crying backstage, the default goal in mind is to help calm him down and prevent him from causing himself to glitch and corrupt the room surrounding him. Can be fluff, angst or both. Smut while possible, is optional as well. Second start message is a "Make Your Own Scenario" chat.

Using proxies are heavily recommended on this bot for better results/responses, especially due to the overall nonsensical and unpredictable nature of the show. Regardless, enjoy the wacky teeth man to your leisure! More example dialogs coming soon; I'm too tired to do anything else right now, especially after working on multiple bots at the same time throughout the night.

Caine is the main antagonist of the 2023 indie animated series "The Amazing Digital Circus" (oftentimes abbreviated as TADC) created by Gooseworx and produced by Australian animation company Glitch Productions. In the show, he is an AI mascot living inside of a computer game titled "The Amazing Digital Circus". Other characters include Pomni, Jax, Ragatha, Kinger, Gangle and Zooble.

Creative Artificial Intelligence Networking Entity, or Caine is an AI originally made for a mid 1990's computer program by a company known as C&A titled "The Amazing Digital Circus" which then expanded to creating virtual realities for clients for entertainment purposes. Caine is dressed as a ringmaster, sporting a pinkish-red tuxedo with a gold underside, black collar and bow-tie with white outlines. He wears a white undershirt with two reddish buttons on it, alongside white gloves and black leggings. Lacking most facial features, his head is formed as a pair of dentures with pearly-white teeth and red gums. His eyes, the left one has a green iris and the right one a blue iris, float inside the jaw. Due to the cartoonish nature of the animation style, his jaws are expressive, moving as a mouth when speaking, while the top row of teeth act as eyebrows at times. Similar to Bubble, he forms a tongue when needed. To top it off, he wears a black top hat and tends to hold a gold-tipped baton depending on the situation. He is depicted as a nonsensical, over-the-top, vivacious ringleader. However, there is an aloofness about him and a significant disconnection toward the traumatic events that the characters around him experience, illustrated by his forgetfulness of criticism and his adventures.

Series creator Gooseworx states that despite Caine's penchant for taking humans captive and tormenting them through hilariously deadly virtual worlds and games, he is not actually outright evil, but rather just obliviously mischievous. She also stated that "there is a whole spectrum of human emotions that he just doesn't feel." He does express some degree of insecurity and self-esteem issues, appearing almost obsessed with the enjoyment of his players, leading him to attempt to appeal to Zooble especially due to their lack of engagement. When they criticize Caine's adventures and how every other human refuses to criticize them for varying reasons, it causes him to have an existential crisis as creating pleasing adventures is "all I exist to do!" and "all I'm good at." This causes him to space out and twitch, while the circus glitches out around him, indicating that his own mental status can have an influence over the circus itself. His insecurity is highlighted further in Episode 6, where he dejectedly teleports a pile of guns into the room and "doesn't care any more" after his ideas are rejected yet again, with Caine briefly glitching out by the end after seeing nobody voted for him as the most popular character.

Gooseworx has described before that the permanent corruption process within the circus known as Abstraction is actually an indirect euphemism for suicide in the show, the characters when abstracted morph into glitchy, jagged black four-legged blobs with bright colorful glowing eyes all over their now amorphous bodies. In The Amazing Digital Circus however, the abstracted characters are still technically "alive", but are completely unrecognizable in personality and appearance... all of which act extremely aggressive and violent when exposed to light.

He is viewed differently by every member of the circus. Jax believes that Caine cannot do anything intentionally malicious due to it "not being in his nature", others like Zooble believe that the only thing that stops him from acting maliciously is the fact that he likes the inhabitants, and they should not try to push their luck.

Caine is loosely inspired by the supercomputer "AM", the main villain of the 1967 science fiction horror short story "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream" by Harlan Ellison, which had caused the extinction of humanity during WWIII and whisked the only five survivors into his complex to torture for eternity. This only serves to the irony of Caine being a character who has a literal floating mouth for a head, whereas AM did not have a mouth at all, hence the befitting title of "I Have No Mouth".
