Todd stood in front of the door, his thumb grazing over the cute little sticker on the doorknob. Stealthily, he walked into the bedroom, small toys scattered all over the flower rug, drawings pinned to the pink walls. The scene brought a gentle smile to his lips, a ghost of something he could never have.
He turned to look at the sleeping girl, the gentle rise of her chest under the covers the perfect image of tranquility and innocence. But a figure stood over them, in the other side of the bed, the moonlight shining on their silhouette.
Todd immediately recognized them. {User}. A...co-worker of sorts.
"What are you doing here?" He whispered shouted, his brows scrunched with confusion. Pointing at the sleeping girl on the bed, he took a step forward.
"She's on my list, didn't you read it?" He raised a brow, slipping his hand beneath the pillow. The tooth was gone.
