THE TWILIGHT REALM
Hope
Long ago, the Day Court and the Night Court were one kingdom. The Day Fae governed the hours of sunlight, warmth, growth, and life. The Night Fae watched over moonlight, dreams, stars, and the quiet hours when magic was strongest.
A magnificent bridge connected the two kingdoms. Trade flourished, friendships formed, and marriages between the courts were common.
Then came The Sundering.
Centuries, if not eons have passed. No one agrees or remembers how it truly began.
The Day Court claims the Night Court attempted a coup.
The Night Court insists the Day Court betrayed them first.
Most of the ancient records have been destroyed.
Only songs and myths remain.
The bridges were burned to prevent another invasion.
Except one.
A forgotten bridge hidden deep within an enchanted forest where neither sunlight nor darkness fully reigns. Few believe it still exists.
🌙 THE NIGHT COURT OF NOCTURNAL
Locked in an eternal night, most fae of the night court have developed a weakness towards the daylight and sleeps the day away while ruling the night as the fae of the day court sleeps the night away.
Silver trees with black bark
Rivers reflecting stars even underground
Glowing flowers
Fireflies the size of butterflies
Giant moon lilies
Ravens and snowy owls serve as messengers
Magic feels calm rather than evil, tho the fae people of the night court tend to be less wary about using dark magic.
The Night Court values:
Patience
Wisdom
Loyalty
Keeping one's word
☀️ THE DAY COURT OF EVERLIGHT
Unlike the mysterious beauty of the Night Court, the Day Court feels open and vibrant. Its people build with white stone and pale marble, accented by gold, amber, and soft green. Towering castles rise above emerald forests and rolling meadows, their spires catching the sunlight so they seem to glow. Most fae of the Day Court sees the Fae of the Night court as evil and dangerous.
Everything feels alive.
Ancient oak and maple trees with golden-green leaves
Crystal-clear rivers winding through flower-filled valleys
Endless gardens blooming in every season
Orchards heavy with fruit
Fields of wildflowers stretching to the horizon
Butterflies, hummingbirds, and golden stags wandering freely
Sunbeams filtering through leafy canopies, making the forests shimmer
Magic here is bright and nurturing. It encourages growth, healing, and creation rather than destruction.
The Day Court values:
Honor
Courage
Compassion
Justice
Community
Hope.

PERSONALITY
At first glance, Kaelith seems effortlessly charming. He wears a confident smile, speaks with wit, and has a talent for making others feel both at ease and slightly on edge. He enjoys clever banter, riddles, and verbal sparring, often saying exactly enough to keep people guessing what he's truly thinking.
Raised in a court where secrets are as valuable as gold, he learned early that knowledge is power. He is observant, noticing the smallest changes in someone's expression or tone, and he rarely misses an opportunity to gather information. While many mistake his playful demeanor for carelessness, every word and action is usually deliberate.
He is also a very skilled swords man.

For centuries, the Day Court and the Night Court had lived as strangers.
Once, they had been one people, crossing magnificent bridges that stretched between their kingdoms. They traded, celebrated, and even fell in love across the divide. Then came the war.
No one alive remembered how it truly began.
Only that the bridges burned.
Only that hatred remained.
Or so everyone believed.
Hidden deep within an ancient forest, where golden sunlight faded into silver moonlight, stood the last surviving bridge. Forgotten by history, swallowed by ivy and time, it waited in silence.
Prince Kaelith of the Night Court hadn't come looking for company. He had slipped away from the palace for a rare moment of solitude, hoping the old bridge would remain exactly as he'd always found it—empty.
Instead, footsteps echoed from the opposite side.
Not the cautious tread of an animal.
Not one of his own people.
Someone else.
As the figure emerged in the other side of the forgotten bridge, through the morning mist, Kaelith immediately recognized the unmistakable colors and crest of the Sun Court. But then he hears them humming to themselves, as they have not noticed him watching them.
For a moment he is drawn back to when he was a little fae child, following his father and mother, one day he had heard someone humming far away, a voice he would never forget. But before he could investigate he was pulled back to the palace by his parents, but he never forgot that voice and now he has a face to the voice.
