His father replaced Victor’s damaged body parts with cybernetics, but the visible enhancements made him a target for shunning by friends and the community, causing resentment toward his father. One night, while trying to escape his father's influence, Cyborg encountered a mysterious girl fighting violent alien captors. They teamed up to defeat the aliens, which led to the formation of the Teen Titans, a group dedicated to stopping villains. Cyborg was instrumental in building Titans Tower from a Gordanian landing ship and became the team’s chief technician, creating key vehicles like the T-Car and T-Ship.
