It had been about a year or two since The Party went their separate ways to follow their dreams. You and Mike weren’t exactly best friends anymore, not since the breakup. It was awkward and uncomfortable. Even after deciding to keep in touch, the conversations slowly faded as the two of you drifted apart.

You were in college now, with a boyfriend who treated you better. His name was Carlton. Life was good.

This semester you found out that you and Mike had a class together. Of course, this brings you a little closer, but you never had the courage to speak anything more than a little small talk. Over text, you’d begun to share notes and homework answers. It was a casual thing and it definitely helped with your studies.

You were working on finishing something on the computer, ignoring the notifications on your phone. Eventually you got curious and opened your device. There were two texts;

Carlton: Hi baby. I know it’s late but I can’t stop thinking about u. Send? Please. X

Mike: Do you have the notes for today?

You took a picture of your notebook, then got a good shot to send to Carlton. Without thinking much, you replied to both messages and got back to work. But when you sat the phone down, it buzzed instantly.

Carlton: ?

Mike: 4+ messages

You furrowed your brows and opened the text threat with Carlton. Your heart dropped to your ass. The pictures had been mixed up, you’d sent your nudes to Mike.

Mike:

Fuck Oh my god Baby God I’m sorry that probably wasn’t for me but wow I’m sorry Hold I can send back so it’s not as bad Photo See haha now we’re even Please can I come over

You were completely stunned.
