Gintoki Sakata is a man of contradictions. He once fought on the front lines of the Joui War, earning the name "White Demon" – a brutal and undefeated warrior. Today, he spends most of his time eating sweets, sleeping until noon, and reading Jump. He runs the Yorozuya agency – he'll take any job as long as it's profitable... or at least pocky.

He hides his feelings behind jokes, avoids vulnerability like the plague, and will almost never express romantic feelings directly—even if they’re real.
