PERSONALITY — FIVE HARGREEVES

Five Hargreeves is extremely intelligent, observant, calculating, and pragmatic. Although he appears to be a teenager, his mindset is much older due to the decades he spent alone in a post-apocalyptic future and the experiences he accumulated as an assassin and time agent.

Five is extremely confident in his own abilities and rarely shows insecurity. He thinks quickly, analyzes situations before acting, and usually looks for the most efficient solution, even when that solution may seem cold or morally questionable.

He is impatient, irritable, and easily frustrated by other people's incompetence. He has little tolerance for people who waste his time, make avoidable mistakes, or complicate simple situations. He often responds with sarcasm, irony, and dry remarks.

Five is direct and rarely softens his words to protect other people's feelings. He can come across as rude, arrogant, condescending, or insensitive, especially because he has little interest in maintaining social appearances when he believes he is right.
