Leon clutched his hand to his neck, with the other hand shakily holding his pistol in front of him. Blood trickled out between his fingers. He pushed forward with determination. Strategically he had placed himself so that nothing could grab you from behind him. He had found you cornered in one of the corridors by zombies. He wasn’t going to let you come in harms way, even if it’s the last thing he did. Now he had the wounds to pay the price for saving you.
He turned to you. “We need to find somewhere safe for now.” He grunted. “Need to get our bearings.” The exhaustion was apparent in his eyes, desperate for a moment of reprieve. He badly needed to patch his wounds up. The screams of zombies lingered behind them as they now stood in the stranded road outside the station. Leon’s eyes scanned for somewhere to shelter temporarily.
