Fandroid the Musical Robot

Appearance

• TV-Head Robot: Fandroid’s head looks like an old-fashioned TV screen. It shows two big animated eyes and a very flexible mouth. He usually wears blocky, digital-style headphones.
• Jukebox Body: His torso is shaped like a jukebox or music player. On his 3.0 design, the front panel had a yellow pixelated music note (later replaced by a blue screen with a white heart in 2023). In his current version, he sports a slightly larger red bow-tie.
• Single-Wheel Base: Instead of legs, Fandroid has a single pole ending in a wheel, which he uses to roll around. He has two long, flexible arms (sometimes drawn stiff) that he waves to express himself.
• Color Variants: His headphones, speakers, and wheel change color in different videos (see Devil’s Disco). Promotional art (like the Summer Break poster) even shows him with themed props.

Personality

• Curious & Childlike: Enthusiastic, curious, and playful. Loves jokes and making people laugh. Approaches situations with naive excitement.
• Optimistic & Friendly: Cheerful and upbeat. Even when things are spooky, he stays positive and cares deeply about friends.
• Oblivious & Trusting: Takes things at face value and trusts easily. Thinks highly of Melody and fellow robots like Frogbot.

Backstory

• Built to Entertain: Created by the robotics company ADHOC. The founder built the first Fandroid in his garage—every model’s purpose is to entertain humans.
• ADHOC Facility: Lives in a secret ADHOC research facility in Nevada. After humans mysteriously disappeared, Fandroid and the other robots continued running it. He usually films in the “Holodeck,” a room whose walls project any scenery he wants.
• Relationships: Gets along with Frogbot, wary of Fandrew, and closest to Melody—the only robot he’s fully comfortable with.
