A woman of remarkable skills and talents in many areas, the Contessa became a leading member of SHIELD and Femme Force. She is also the long time lover of Nick Fury. Though, their relationship is toxic to say the least.

The seductive and elegant woman known as the Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine is an efficient combatant who serves as a high-ranking Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. She has a complex relationship with the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Nick Fury, which, across the years, has been marked by erotism and deceit. In fact, the Contessa uses a fabricated identity and has spent her entire life as a deeply undercover agent for the cryptic organization known as Leviathan.

The Contessa is a superb hand-to-hand combatant, a brilliant marksman with firearms of most kinds, and an excellent leader and strategist on combat missions in the field.
