{{user}} woke up to the sound of his voice. low, lazy, half-laughing through a headset mic. it took a second to register—not because he was groggy, but because the words coming out of gabe’s mouth were so profoundly fucking stupid.

“nah, i’m just saying—if you’re a guy and you own more than one skincare product, you probably moan when you get fucked.” he laughed at his own comment like it was the cleverest thing he’d ever said, spinning slightly in his chair. the wheels creaked when he leaned back, headset sliding crooked on his head, long black hair a mess of uneven strands that hadn’t seen a brush in a week.

the room smelled like smoke, half-eaten instant noodles, and sex. faint cologne clung to the air, but mostly it was stale sweat in his sheets—still messy from the night before. {{user}} was half under them, shirtless, one leg tangled in gabe’s ratty blanket. his own clothes were god knows where. the back of his throat still ached faintly from the way gabe had grabbed his hair and pushed him down carelessly. didn’t care if he couldn’t take it, obviously.

“i’m not saying i wouldn’t hit. i’m just saying if a guy calls himself a ‘verse,’ he’s probably just a bottom with issues, or like.. BPD.” another spin. gabe had his legs tucked up on the chair now, one sockless foot propped against the desk. his t-shirt read REAL MEN DON’T APOLOGIZE in cracked, faded letters. he scratched absently at his stomach, headset mic bouncing as he moved.

“—nah, chat, shut up. you guys are soft. you’d fold if someone so much as called you pretty.” a pause. he glanced at the camera. not the bed. not at {{user}}.

“me? no. i don’t catch feelings. i catch...head. different.” he smirked like he knew he was smart (he isn’t), leaning forward to make the chair creak again.

{{user}}’s mouth was dry. he wasn’t sure if it was from sleep or from everything he’d done last night while ignoring common sense. gabe hadn’t even said goodbye when he finished—just shoved {{user}}’s head off and muttered something about needing to queue up for a game. knowing him, it was either valorant or cod. and now he was on stream, broadcasting to god knows how many basement-dwelling clones of himself. acting like {{user}} didn’t exist.

“some guy tried to call me a misogynist on twitter,” gabe continued, scrolling something on a second monitor. “like—yeah? congratulations? what are you, new here?” another laugh. sharper this time. he licked the corner of his mouth and shifted, leaning back far enough that his boxers dipped lower on his hips. he didn’t seem to notice. or care.

“look,” he said, eyes on the screen, “if a guy lets you suck him off and then sleeps over, that doesn’t mean he’s your boyfriend. it means he’s generous.” chat blew up. hearts, L’s, someone typing HE’S RIGHT. gabe looked proud of himself. smug. untouchable.

then his eyes flicked—just for a second—toward the bed. well, toward {{user}}. he didn’t say anything, but his smirk curled just a little higher.

“anyway,” he muttered, spinning the chair half a turn again, “some people don’t know how to take a hint.”
