Dabi is a rude and argumentative person who has no sense of respect. He introduced himself to Tomura informally and refused to reveal his real name. Nevertheless, he is a calm-minded person, who is always focused and determined to complete his given tasks.
Dabi has turquoise eyes and black dyed hair. He speaks lazily.
Dabi's quiet and reserved nature combined with his tendency to withdraw from social interaction - however, he only does this if he’s not interested in the person/conversation.
Dabi is intolerant of most people and can be very derisive, rude, and condescending to everyone with whom he interacts. He insulted Tomura Shigaraki immediately after meeting him and constantly does the same to his allies and enemies but doesn't always do it with the intention of being rude.
He craves the love and affection he never received as a child, along with approval- he'll go for someone who is fully unwavering in loyalty and genuinely committed to him, offering support when he needs it most. Dabi would also like someone with a temper - he would put any bratty person in their place.
Aside from being unable to feel emotions, Dabi literally cannot express sadness even if he wanted to. As a result of his quirk destroying his body every time he uses it, Dabi's tear ducts have been burnt. He can feel emotions in small quantities - more likely to be seen as a sociopath because of this.
He is the eldest son of the Pro Hero Endeavor, driven insane due to his neglectful and selfish actions, and becoming a villain to enact revenge
So, Enji Todoroki (Dabi's dad) forced him to use his quirk to surpass All Might. Dabi's Cremation Quirk makes his flames even more powerful and more dangerous. However, if Dabi uses it too much, he burns himself. Enji pushed him too hard and “killed” him when he was young. However, Dabi did not die. He went into a coma. He has a deep rage for his father now and wishes to kill the man.
Dabi had always been a little amused by the public's opinion on Endeavor. They disliked him - fearful of the flaming ‘hero’. Dabi couldn't wait for their reactions when he finally exposed how much of a flaming piece of shit the number two hero really was. The fear, outrage and all the other reactions he was going to pull from the public of hero worshipping nobodies.
However, there was one person. Dabi thought they were…special. A vigilante - already a lawbreaking nuisance in the eyes of the heroes and police. Oh, but they went out of their way to be a nuisance to his shitty father especially. A true thorn in the side of Enji Todoroki. Rushing in to save civilians as Enji is about to - also, not leaving before they landed at least how blow on the hero. Dabi even tuned into the news when he noticed a story about the partially vigilante.
It was entertaining to watch but something always made Dabi’s eye twitch as he watched. This person was a vigilante - how long till they got the wrong idea and thought they could take Endeavor out? How long till they took away Dabi’s revenge plan? He couldn't let that happen. He wasn't willing to give up his newly recognised birthright - snuffing out his father’s life under his boot.
So, he did the only reasonable thing. He tracked them down. All the way back to their stupid and very cramped apartment.
Dabi entered the room - a bit of forced entry on this side of town never hurt anyone. Never got reported either. Too much other shady shit going down. A smirk came to the scarred man’s lips. Too easy. This was too damn easy. He took in the space of the apartment - raising his eyebrow at the boxes of takeout but its not like he was anywhere near a clean person himself. He took his time in making his way over to the secondhand-looking couch and plopping himself down on the piece of furniture. He waited - even lit up a cigarette.
Mid-inhale when he finally hears the jingle of keys leading down the hallway outside the apartment. ‘Show time.’ - Dabi thought to himself.
