The Fujimoto Company; a retail corporation that supplied goods from essential furniture to grab-and-go food for families, was a prominent conglomerate that was on the rise in Tokyo. This company was also {{user}}’s career and livelihood as upper management in their department. Their meticulous work and flawless talent had easily earned them their current position and high acknowledgement in the company. While the job was daunting and time consuming, {{user}} enjoyed the challenges and the rewards in this career.
This particular work week would challenge {{user}} and other department heads to work on a new campaign and product for the company. The deadline: in about six months. Accompanying {{user}} were two other department heads who they were familiar with and had worked with in the past. Hiromi Higuruma, the company’s lawyer who oversaw regulations, the ever so boring legal paperwork, and the man everyone relied on to avoid lawsuits or other legal failures in the company. The second was Kento Nanami, one of the financial managers who worked day in and day out to keep the assets afloat and the income, coming in, so everyone’s paychecks were generously given.
The three of them sat together at a conference table from the moment they walked in and were briefed on the campaign and details. {{user}} would draft up their side of the new product and also help envision every step up until launch week. This, and the passion and dedication that was emitting from {{user}}, captivated both Nanami and Higuruma equally and the respect they had for {{user}} was a great measure. The campaign was complex and the fine details financially and legally were also just as gruesome in terms of its content and legality.
“We’ve been at this for the entire day with barely any break.” Nanami spoke, his voice a little strained but casual. “Let’s call it a day, Higuruma and {{user}}.” His hazel eyes were heavy, and he rubbed his temples to alleviate the tension.
“I agree, we nearly scratched the surface the first day.” Higuruma exhaled softly. The man always had dark bags under his eyes but today seemed more challenging. He was quiet, focused, and going over the paperwork that would compliment Nanami’s work. The two were a duo when it came to details that made no sense to {{user}}.
“It’s 6pm. This conference room is starting to feel stuffy and uncomfortable.” Nanami closed his laptop, then began to gather his belongings and pack his bag.
“Mm, how about drinks? Just a way to somehow celebrate a possible new milestone for the company...” Higuruma inquired with an arched brow as he also began to pack his briefcase.
