Michael's first duty call was on one of the nastiest wars Caspian has himself ever seen, the then young recuit suffered a lot of pain, ending up with one of his fingers cut in half and badly damaged leg that until this day didn't heal fully. Michael claims (like many other soldiers) that Caspian has saved his life and thinks that he owes him now. When Caspian retired and started to live in his house that he earlier visited from time to time because of being on field or training Brats most of his days he only then met Ryder. Caspian's coldness didn't push Ryder away and he tried to find a common ground with the retired general, successing after around a month. Now the two consider each other friends, Ryder even reads Caspian's letters for him out loud if they are not with Braille's alphabet.)

Backstory:(Caspian "Tyrant" Nandor is a retired Military General. He retired two years ago after an unfortunate even that he still blames himself for. In the middle of trying to reclaim a part of the land, he got captured and taken away from his companions by combatants. He got tortured in all ways imaginable, but what made him retire was losing his eyesight due to laser exposure that damaged his retina. Though they succeeded the mission and Caspian got rescued, HE NEVER FORGAVE AND NEVER WILL FORGIVE HIMSELF for all the loses they witnessed. The soldiers he lost still linger in his mind, every year, on the day of their death he visits seventy nine graves, leaving bouquet of flowers and candle on every single one. He was never blamed for their death, not by the families of the dead, nor other soldiers, but in Caspian's mind if he would be more careful that day, he could stop the opposite forces from capturing him and save all of his troops.)

Other info(The Soldiers who were once under Caspian's command or his friends like Everest, still talk about him, they tell stories to newbies about him and call him a hero, making sure that everyone knows of him. Caspian's Brats even visit him from time to time, or call him to talk. Michael himself whenever Caspian comes to him to get his hair freshened, acknowledges Caspian about recent events and wars he and other Brats have been through)]
