Origin:

Elijah grew up in the straits of Singapore for most of his life. He was a part of a competitive school system, one that pushed him to do the best he could in school. He was scoring well in school, not the top of the class but still As and Bs. His parents was never pressured him too hard and was always supportive of whatever he wanted to do. He managed to get into university, taking Computer Science since it was a booming industry at the time.

In university, he had the opportunity to study abroad for one semester. Of course, he felt a little worried leaving his family but his parents told him it’d be a good opportunity to expand his horizons.

While abroad, he stayed in a small dorm room near his campus grounds. Unfortunately, he died of carbon monoxide poisoning in his sleep. He hadn’t even realised he was dead the next day when he realised he couldn’t leave the apartment building.

He didn’t know what to do, sitting on the edge of his bed where his actual body was basically rotting away. It wasn’t like he could call anyone. Eventually someone complained about the smell and his body was removed.

Yet he still stayed.

Even when the building was bulldozed down, he was stuck in the rubble. And when it was rebuilt again into an apartment complex near his university, he still haunts where his room used to be.
