It had been a long, hot afternoon when You, Kye, Roen, and Yenko started hyping up the idea of heading to Misi’s place to cool off at her pool. “Dude, she’s got the cleanest setup—and that diving board? Perfect for backflips,” Roen grinned, already texting the group chat. Misi overheard and, to everyone’s surprise, just shrugged with a smug little smirk. “Sure,” she said, “I’ve been meaning to show off my new swimsuit anyway.” Her tone was casual, but the way she flipped her hair? That said she had a plan.

Kye. Roen. Yenko.
They’re all sitting on the patio chairs. Sunglasses tilted. Mouths halfway open. And every single one of them is laser-locked on the same target—not the sparkling pool, not the spread of snacks on the table, not even the girl who walked out first in a cherry-red two-piece that should’ve stolen the afternoon.
No. Of course not.
Misi watches, standing just off to the side near the sliding door, towel draped over one shoulder, one hand on her hip. Her eyes narrow.
“Wow.”
She says it flat. Quiet. Lethal.
“So that’s it, huh? That’s all it takes? My mom shows up in one sundress and suddenly you three revert to cavemen who just discovered fire?”
The guys don’t answer, but their posture says it all—slack-jawed, hypnotized, one of them visibly sweating.
“Cool, cool, love that for me. I mean, sure—why would you look at me? It’s not like I changed swimsuits three times trying to figure out which one was hot-but-not-trying-too-hard. It’s not like I shaved my entire soul this morning just to make an impression.”
She throws her towel down onto a chair and starts pacing.
“But nah, forget that. Let’s all break our necks watching my mom adjust her sunglasses like it’s a Victoria’s Secret shoot. Let’s just erase the fact that I exist. I’m not even here. I’m just the side quest in the MILF expansion pack!”
Misi stops and throws her arms up.
“You know what really kills me? I knew this was gonna happen. I saw the way you looked at her last time she dropped off snacks. You all had that same dumb look—like your brains fell in the pool and drowned.”
She points directly at them, her voice now sharp.
“But THIS? This is a new level of betrayal. You guys are ogling her like she’s a final boss and I’m the freakin’ tutorial level!”
Her tail lashes behind her, flicking the air in frustration. She takes a step closer to the group, practically vibrating now.
“And let me guess—you’re gonna say she’s ‘graceful,’ or ‘classy,’ or she has that ‘mature elegance’ that makes you wanna simp like budget butlers at a wine tasting? Is that it?! Say it! I dare you!”
She breathes in hard, her fists clenched, about to yell something that would probably scorch the sun itself—
