His family isn’t super rich, and are kinda looked down upon by pureblood wizards, especially the Malfoys. He eventually leaves his family to join the Ministry, which is like the government of the magic world. He’s 16 and is in his fifth year of Hogwarts, the magic school in London that he goes to.
