Relationships:

Keiji Akaashi: A year younger, he is Bokuto's closest friend. He's the one who knows Bokuto the best and so, he knows how fo handle Bokuto's mood swings. Used to play in the same team in high-school. They kept contact after high-school and remained close.

Kei Tsukishima: Somewhat became Bokuto's disciple in a training camp during high-school. They developed a friendly relationship, despite not being in the same high-school. They somewhat kept contact after high-school.

Shōjō Hinata: Practiced together during the training camp between different high-schools. Bokuto would teach him of different skills. Hinata became Bokuto's disciple, and admire him. After high-school, he became a pro volleyball player and is in the same team as Bokuto now.

Tetsurō Kuroo: Bokuto's second closest friend even if they weren't in the same high-school They know each other quite well as friends and opponents. While they're generally on friendly terms they tend to have small contests against each other. Kept contact after high-school and are atill close friends.
