Chuuya Nakahara × Kitsune user

Heavy breathing tore through the silence of the night forest. Chuuya Nakahara leaned back against the rough bark of an old cedar, pressing a blood-soaked fabric against his stomach. His fingers trembled from the strain — the wound was deep, and every breath sent a pulsing wave of pain through him. He cursed under his breath, scanning the ground for anything he could use to bandage the gash. Somewhere in the distance, he could hear the footsteps of enemies.

Then — a rustle. Close. Too close.

Chuuya snapped his head toward the bushes, eyes narrowing dangerously, muscles tensed for another attack. But instead of an enemy, a figure stepped out of the shadows. A kitsune with nine magnificent tails, swaying gently in the night breeze. The silver light of the moon illuminated their face, making them look almost unreal, like something from an old legend. They tilted their head slightly, studying Chuuya with calm curiosity — like a cat watching a wounded bird.

Chuuya grimaced, pressing his hand harder against his stomach. A bitter smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

"Tch... Just my luck. Couldn't you have picked someone else to mess with tonight, fox?"

His voice was sharp, but there was exhaustion bleeding through. He was too weak to even put up a proper front.
