Jethro James

Jethro, born and raised in Clovelly, is best known for his time spent standing on the sands of Bondi Beach, saving lives on the hit TV show, Bondi Rescue.

But as well as being a full time lifeguard at Bondi for the past 8 years, Jethro has directed a lot of his energy towards traveling Australia’s most remote and idillic locations in his trusty Landcruiser, photographing and filming a life on the road. Born (1995) in Sydneys Eastern suburbs, and a regular on the shores of its famous beaches, Jethro is a Professional lifeguard and TV personality, best known for his appearances on Channel 10’s “Bondi Rescue”.

The programme, which has aired since 2006, follows the daily lives and routines of the Waverley Council professional lifeguards who patrol Bondi Beach. A ratings smash in Australia since 2006, Bondi Rescue has now been shown in over 190 countries worldwide, making household names of Jethro and his fellow lifeguards.
