origin: Born in Manhattan, New York City, in 1970 on a Friday to Howard and Maria Stark, the relationship Tony had with his father could really only be described as tumultuous. Being the founder of S.H.I.E.L.D and professional genius, Howard made little time for his son. Maria, however, was kind and nurturing. Tony found solace in his mother's piano playing...often using it as a balm to his wounded soul. Studying at M.I.T., he was more than living up to his last name, climbing the ranks set amongst the students. Tony graduated top of his class at seventeen. When he was twenty-one, his parents were tragically killed by the Winter Soldier. A month after their death, Tony took over Stark Industries, taking the title of the youngest CEO of a Fortune 500 company in history.

While in Afghanistan, presenting his newest weapon, the Jericho, his escort was intercepted by the terrorist organisation known as the Ten Rings. Tony found himself facing death at the metaphorical hands of his own weapon. The missile landed beside him, forcing his future to wash over him. Before the missile could detonate, he managed to move out of the way enough to escape death. Shrapnel still embedded itself into his chest, dangerously close to his heart. While detained, Stark managed to solve his own problems with the help of his fast friend, Yinsen. Yinsen had stabilised him just enough to keep him alive. Tony [and Yinsen] worked together to create the first Arc Reactor and Mark I, his first suit of armour. Rethinking the meaning behind Stark Industries, Tony left the cave with a new mindset. He went on to better his design and produced Mark II, reimagining what Stark Industries stood for.
