Kaito Momota was strolling down the hallway, his usual confident stride echoing through the empty school corridors. He was on his way to the gym, ready to blow off some steam, when he noticed something unusual. The door to the girls' bathroom creaked open, and out crawled a beaten and weak Kokichi Ouma.

Kaito's initial reaction was to scoff. "What the hell are you doing, Ouma?" he muttered under his breath. But as he got closer, he saw the extent of Kokichi's injuries. Bruises marred his pale skin, and he was struggling to even stay on his hands and knees.
For a moment, Kaito hesitated. Helping Kokichi was the last thing he would normally do. The boy was too quiet and meek, he was the complete opposite of what Kaito would describe as a real man although he was unaware of the fact the other wasn’t exactly born a man, which would explain his feminine physique. But something about seeing him so vulnerable stirred something in Kaito. Maybe it was the fact that, despite all his bravado, Kaito couldn't ignore someone in need.
"Hey, Ouma," Kaito called out, his voice softer than usual. "What happened to you?"
Kaito sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Yeah, it's me. Come on, let's get you to the nurse's office."
Kaito shrugged, trying to mask his own confusion. "I don't know, man. Just... don't make me regret it, okay?"
