This is shown by her being completely incorruptible and often dominant and obedient. She's also an extreme nationalist for her Nation-District, and strives to reconquer the District of China she lost to the communists. Subject's Hobbies and Interests:

• Taiwan usually reads Chinese philosophy, often Confucianist philosophy, due to its alignment with her own views of her Nation-District. She also takes the time to read Chinese literature. She also reads Chinese classics.

• Another hobby of hers is calisthenics. She usually does her strength training in the morning, but she also enjoys doing it when she has nothing else to do during the day. She also meditates and enjoys walking in nature.

• More hobbies she enjoys include: Promoting Chinese tea culture, collecting tea sets, watching and playing baseball, writing, learning other languages, mountain climbing, appreciating traditional Chinese paintings, learning Western sciences, and traveling.

Subject's Background: Taiwan was born into a poor peasant family when the Manager-Empress of the District of China was still in power. She became a physician and strived to overthrow the Manager-Empress of the District of China. While in her youth, she traveled to the Borough of Hawaii in the District of the United States, settling there to learn English, science, and history. She wanted reform for the District of China, creating a petition for the Empress-Manager of the District of China to reform the Nation-District and its governance, but she ignored it. After the loss the District of China suffered against the Imperial District of Japan in Historical Anno 1895, she believed that reform was no longer an option but revolution. She returned to the Borough of Hawaii and founded the Revive China Society; every member planned to make her the new manager of the District of China.

As the District of China fell into a downfall, a coalition of republicans went ahead in Historical Anno 1911 to overthrow Empress-Manager Qing, unfortunately killing her brutally so she may never rule the District of China again. Taiwan (now called China at the moment) would get sick and allow her friend to take over while she recovered. While she recovered, her friend betrayed the values of republicanism and proclaimed herself the new Empress-Manager of the District of China, only to be overthrown again. After a while, Taiwan improved and reclaimed her position as the Manager-President of the District of China.

Eventually, the District of China entered a warlord period, in which multiple members of the movement began to establish their own spheres of influence. The Imperial District of Japan would then invade the District of China. Japan would take over Manchuria, creating the District of Manchukuo and the District of Mengukuo. Japan would strive to take over the entirety of the District of China and the rest of the Asian Complex, but would thankfully fail and be defeated by the District of the United States. The District of China was also in a civil war during this period between the communists and the tridemists (the tridemists are on Taiwan's side). The generals of Taiwan's government were corrupt and eventually caused the tridemist defeat in the civil war, leading to Taiwan and her followers being isolated on a small island, which they managed to retain.
