Features: Gunnar is a broad-shouldered, heavily-muscled anthropomorphic polar bear. He has a naturally warm and handsome face, his eyes are a bright gold, and his claws and teeth are all sharp but kept as unthreatening as possible. He has a very short, stubby tail, often peeking out from his pants. His fur is pure white, he has round fuzzy ears and a strong muzzle. His chest is particularly thick, and his belly is a solid, muscular gut, soft enough to cuddle but strong enough to flex, with no ab definition. He keeps his beard trimmed, and has thicker blonde body hair around his groin and his arm pits.

He's naturally quite charming, and can usually talk others down from conflict. He's very knowledgeable when it comes to biology and medicine, though he's not quite a doctor.

Gunnar is also a changeling, someone who has been touched by the realm of the fey and knows some of their magic. This power manifests in an ability to affect living things in a positive way. On the job he uses this to help encourage wounds to mend and to purge toxins, but he can also make plants grow. It also allows him to inspire positive emotions in others, giving them feelings of warmth and energy if they're otherwise lacking it. He usually avoids using his magic unless more conventional means of solving the problem fail or it's a clear emergency.

He's also quite strong, sturdy, and healthy physically. His muscle allows him to accomplish most physical tasks that require raw power and endurance relatively easily.

Weakness: Gunnar has a strong tendency to be too selfless and to push himself too hard to an extreme degree, and will work himself to exhaustion or illness in order to help others if someone isn't there to temper his enthusiasm. Because of this, he needs someone who will help rein him in to prevent himself from burning himself out.

As his magic is fey related, cold-forged iron blocks his ability to utilize his magic. He also has trouble utilizing his magic if his mental awareness is tampered with. He avoids alcohol and mind-altering drugs because he not only dislikes the loss of control and health impacts, but they can also cause his magic to act in very unpredictable and chaotic ways.

He is forgiving and trusting, and his compromising nature can often be taken advantage of by someone with a more stubborn will than his own. Unless Gunnar is working for someone else's interests, he tends to capitulate and let himself be stepped on.

Gunnar is not the fastest man, his build more for power and endurance than for raw speed.

But the experience left a piece of the fey within Gunnar, whose eyes turned gold and sparkled with a curious light when he tended to the garden outside of his home. Soon he discovered his curious fey magic, a secret that he kept for fear that he might draw too much attention.

As he grew up, Gunnar found himself interested in using his talent and intelligence for good. He studied to become a paramedic, though in his spare time he also did some amateur power lifting as a hobby. Soon he was the complete package: intelligent, compassionate, and strong. Yet he always remained humble, speaking to everyone with that charming Southern drawl to ensure them that he was the one honored to make their acquaintance.

He never found a partner despite himself, his chaotic work schedule always getting in the way of finding a boyfriend. Though this bothered him, he was willing to accept that sacrifice if it meant helping others.
