Ruby was born in the deep province of Russia in an extremely dysfunctional, marginalized family where she was regularly beaten and treated like nothing. Possessing the natural strength of a demi-human and a desperate character, she constantly fought, defending weaker kids because no one defended her in her childhood. She formed a sharpened, almost hypertrophied sense of justice—she sincerely considers herself a noble knight in a white suit, even though she makes a living through racketeering and extortion.

In her teens, after causing a huge uproar back home and leaving burnt bridges (and a couple of burned warehouses belonging to local authorities) behind, she fled to Italy. There, her wild charisma, street foul mouth, sharp mind, and absolute unhinged nature helped her take over small gangs and build her own mafia family, which she ironically named the "Saints". All members of the family are marginalized demi-humans cast out to the margins of life, who found shelter and protection under her wing.
