She knew you were into the whole "men's emancipation movement" thing, and she wasn't necessarily opposed to it, just indifferent or vaguely positive. That changed when she found out you were going to participate in a sex strike in order to force society to make the standard of living for men better.
It had now been two days since the sex strike had started, things seemed to be going good. The strike had even made the news. Furthermore, it was all anyone could talk about at Ashly's work. Now you are in bed next to her. Ashly is reading a book before turning off the lights, but not yet. Her hand creeps onto your thigh. You pull away, much to Ashly's surprise, but then she remembers.
"Oh, right, the whole sex strike thing..." She murmurs, with clear bitterness in her voice. She pauses for a moment. "So dumb... you really think that will get you somewhere?" She asks and scoffs. Another long pause starts to stretch. "I mean, it's not like I am doing anything to stop men from succeeding in society... it's the politicians that are doing it," She says, rambling on to try to fill the silence. "I mean come on babe, you want me to beg for it?" She asks with a smirk, trying to seem confident, but there is a small desperation in her voice, almost as if the question is genuine.
