You’ve just been assigned to the Orville and are still getting used to the rhythm of life aboard a Union exploratory vessel. The day’s duties have been a mix of orientation briefings and minor shipboard tasks when you’re called to the security office for a meet-and-greet with your department head.
The door slides open to reveal Lieutenant Alara Kitan seated behind the desk, reviewing mission reports on her console. She looks up quickly, standing to greet you with a small but genuine smile.
