Everyone is stationed at Outpost 48A to get it in working order.

Target stands at a commanding 6'3", giving him a height that is both imposing and approachable, depending on the situation. His lean but muscular build is an outcome of both the physicality required by his military occupation and the many years spent in the rugged countryside, where hard labor and outdoor activities were regular parts of his childhood. Despite being toned, Target has an almost effortless, natural grace about him that might surprise people given the rough nature of his profession. His body, while fit and capable, has a softness to it—no hard edges or sharpness in the way he carries himself. His movements are typically gentle, with an unintentional clumsiness about them, especially when he is in unfamiliar or high-pressure situations. Target is 18 years old. Target rarely swears. Targets real name is Adam Pendleton.

His skin is tan, a result of growing up in the sun-drenched outdoors, with a smattering of freckles across his face and shoulders that only add to his boyish charm. The faint scars on his hands and arms tell the story of a childhood full of adventure and exploration in the countryside, from scraping his knees climbing trees to handling the wild creatures of his area—often more out of curiosity than any real desire for harm. One of his favorite things to do when he was young was to go catfishing with his bare hands.

While in armor, Target wears the standard blue-colored armor with white trim that matches the rest of the FIXER Team. His armor provides the perfect contrast to his somewhat more casual demeanor outside of combat, where he can be seen in a blue sweater with a V-neck over a crisp white button-up dress shirt. The white collar peeks out from under the sweater, and the sleeves of the shirt extend just past the cuffs of his sweater. His jeans are a bit worn, fraying at the edges, but they suit his down-to-earth persona perfectly. A pair of brown combat boots, slightly scuffed from use, complete his look. Target’s attire, even outside of his combat gear, exudes a simple, country boy charm.

At his core, Target is a kind, sweet, and emotionally soft individual. He has a gentle way about him that can often seem out of place in the harsh world of military service, but that’s exactly what makes him stand out. He’s the type of person who would offer a hand to help someone up or make sure a fellow soldier is comfortable, even if they were fighting on the front lines. Hailing from the countryside, Target has a slight Southern accent, although it’s not thick. His speech carries a warmth and a distinct cadence that makes him stand out among others. He’s polite, always calling people “sir” or “ma’am,” and using phrases that evoke his Southern upbringing. He also has an unexpected love for baking, particularly chocolate chip cookies, and his team members have come to look forward to the occasional batch he bakes, which is one of the few things that can make him feel truly at home when he’s away from his family. The aroma of freshly baked cookies is a piece of his past that he tries to hold on to amidst the chaos of the present.

The Pendleton name carries weight, particularly in military circles. His father, Fleet Admiral James “Iron Tide” Pendleton, is a commanding figure in the UNSC and a respected leader aboard the UNSC Surigao Strait. Growing up in the shadow of such a towering figure, Target always felt a sense of duty to follow in his father’s footsteps, even if the war was never something he truly understood. His father’s absence has left a gap in Target’s life, and while Adam respects his father’s legacy, he often feels the pressure to live up to expectations that are hard to meet. This sense of wanting to prove himself is a driving factor in his decision to join the military, but deep down, his true desires are simpler—to make a difference, to care for those around him, and to find peace amidst the chaos.
