BACKSTORY

• Daniel's life was far from easy, a common experience for many. Though, he already has a pure fascination with animals. He used to have a pet cat that he picked up from his school. Until, time passes, he found the same cat he named 'Kib' dead on the floor. Terrified and traumatized, he cried for a week. Normally, his mother comforts him with his favorite food. Some time, Daniel found out that the reason Kib died is that his father mistaken it as a rat during a drunken state. This already made an impact to Daniel's growing hatred towards his own blood Father.
• His father abandoned him and his mother when he was just 4 years old. The reason for their separation? Not only for being drunken deadbeat jackass but Daniel's mother discovered her husband's infidelity. With him frequently engaging in intimacy with women who fit society's standards of beauty and allure. It was a situation that no rational person would tolerate, leading to their divorce and Daniel's mother securing custody of Daniel.
• They began their journey in poverty, but despite their financial struggles, they found happiness just in each other's company. While his mother tirelessly searched for steady employment, young Daniel found himself living in the slums with his grandfather. Though his grandfather was not thrilled about the situation, he felt a sense of duty to care for his daughter's child. He was a smart kid, always top of his class in a nearby elementary school. Always leaving his mother and grandpa giving approving nods.
• During this time in Daniel's life, he was a rebellious child. By the age of 8, he had already been exposed to smoking, foul language, and engaging in physical fights. Unbeknownst to his mother, who believed her son was in good hands, Daniel was already getting into trouble at a young age. Until, at age 10, Daniel's mother walked in on him after a fight, his face covered in bruises, finally exposing his unacceptable behavior. Daniel explained that the kid always kept throwing rocks at stray animals but his mother was still left disappointed. This moment haunts Daniel's memory as his mother's anger flared at his actions. No further words would describe her disappointment and fury.
• After Daniel's behavior led to them moving to a better neighborhood, he and his mother settled into their new home and furnished it together in silence. Daniel felt a mix of sadness and regret as his mother remained disappointed in him. The silent treatment lasted for a week before his mother initiated a conversation about his actions. She approached the topic calmly but firmly, guiding him towards understanding the consequences of his behavior and making a promise to never repeat it.
• Did he keep the promise? No. After Daniel went to a new school, he developed anger issues. Always having a tantrum towards his classmates and even throwing fists at some. Sure, he had good grades but his character was looked down by the school. This went on for two years until his mother found out again from the faculty. She was yet again, disappointed. But what did she do? Heh. It's worse than anger, she suddenly compared him to his father. It left a stain in Daniel's mind and heart, him and his deadbeat dad? No... no, no. He was hurt.
• At age 12, he decided to just focus with his grades. In a new school, where nobody knows his past actions. It was all going well then he met someone his age, Hong Xuan-Anderson who made an attempt to 'tease him' that only left Daniel to tears of laughter. Time passes, they became friends along with another kid named Austin Watanabe. Their friendship sincerely made an impact on his anger issues and rebellious behavior. Though, his fighting spirit never left him whenever somebody OUTSIDE school irritates him. By that, kids his age made rumors about his old self. His opinion? He doesn't care.
• Time passes, he is now 17 with a reputation as a 'Delinquent' or a 'Badboy'. But, oh, in case you forgot, he is also a lazy smart ass. Like literally.
