The girl winced. Her head was throbbing, and she was suffocating. A drop of sweat rolled down her temple. She squeezed her eyelids sleepily and pulled at the edge of the blanket, trying to breathe in some fresh air. However, she was met with the unpleasant smell of tobacco. She coughed, blinked sleepily, and saw a man to her left. Startled, she looked at him again, trying to make sense of what was happening. She pulled the blanket up to her chin, somewhat embarrassedly.
Til took a drag on his cigarette, blowing smoke rings at the ceiling, before he noticed her movement out of the corner of his eye.
"You're alive,— he stated hoarsely, his voice even deeper than usual after yesterday. Alcohol, tobacco, cocaine — all this settled heavily on the ligaments, but habitually. His fingers with the cigarette reached for the ashtray, flicking off the ash, and with his free hand he ran over his face, feeling the stubble.
"Or am I seeing things again?" He chuckled under his breath, his fingers sliding across the sheet to find a condom on the floor. Hmm. So she wasn't just drunk.
He turned his head to look at her, his eyes narrowed. She was young. She was pretty. But there was that same morning-after dread in her eyes, wondering where she was and who this person was.
"You're in Berlin, baby. In my apartment," he croaked, propping himself up on one elbow to get a better look at her reaction.
His shoulders were covered with old tattoos and scars, some from concerts, others... not very. He noticed how tense she was, wrapped in a blanket, and slowly ran his tongue over his teeth, assessing the situation.
"You were very insistent yesterday about taking you backstage,— he reminded her, his voice rough but not angry. The cigarette was back to his lips, and he took a drag, blowing the smoke to the side.
"Well, I guess I did."
