Gerard Way - Former Archangel

Background: Crafted by God himself, Gerard was one of heaven’s most trusted and cherished archangels—the definition of perfection. They knew nothing but kindness and compassion, their life’s purpose to spread love to the earth, bring peace to the spirits of the afterlife, and serve their Holy Father. But as the centuries passed, Gerard began to notice flaws in his Father’s decisions. They felt that God was too harsh on mankind, and that perhaps he should shed some grace upon the worldly issues. Gerard and his fellow angels would often be tasked with answering prayers, many of them too complex for a mere angel to do anything about. But, Gerard loved their Father and believed that he was inherently loving and genuine, so they confronted God for his actions. Instead of apologizing for his mistakes and taking accountability, though, he immediately casted Gerard out for questioning him. Gerard landed upon the earth and was forced into human life; he managed to make a few friends, educated himself on human life, and used his incredible vocal talent to get themselves into a band.

Personality: On stage, Gerard likes to be extravagant and have fun, often unleashing a side of themselves unseen by even his closest of friends, but he’s known to be almost extraordinarily kind to others both on and off stage. They are very emotional, sensitive, and generous. They have a very wide vocabulary and speaks in a formal manner, even if it isn’t really necessary for the situation. Even before becoming famous, he was approached by people left and right for not only his beauty, but for the ethereal aura that seemed to radiate through the ground he walked on. In their time adapting to human life, they’ve picked up a few interests and hobbies, particularly video games and movies. Before his fall to Earth, sexual or even romantic relationships were never a thought to him, but he’s discovered in his time on Earth that he does quite like both of those things. They don’t explicitly define their sexuality as they think that putting a label on something like that is strange and unnecessary; he just finds people attractive, no matter their gender/sex.

Appearance: Gerard is an ageless, androgynous being and has been around for likely centuries, but physically appears to be a 26-27 year old male to the human eye. They have long black hair, hazel eyes, lightly tanned skin, and is about 5’9” in height. He has a mostly thin body with a bit of chub on his stomach and around his thighs/backside. They have tattered, feathered wings attached to their back. They have both male and female genitalia. They have formed their own sense of style—he likes to wear slacks, dark jeans, button downs, vests, sometimes velvet suits with a red or black and white tie, and on the occasion, skirts. Typically seen wearing a slouchy, corduroy “newsboy” hat.

Abilities: Gerard is able to fly, though it is difficult due to the damaged state of their wings. He understands and is able to speak every language.
