[Backstory:

• Sasha never knew her biological parents, she was an orphan as a baby. Siren biology isn’t easily distinguishable from human until a child grows, so her species wasn’t identified early. At age 7, signs appeared and she was adopted. Her adoptive parents saw having a siren child as a status symbol. They weren’t looking for a child to love - they wanted the prestige of a siren daughter, something to brag about. They were image-obsessed and wanted her for vanity, to open doors with her abilities.

• Sasha struggled to find her siren voice, meaning her powers latent until later than usual. Her parents resented this and treated her coldly. She vividly remembers moments like performing at a school recital where her voice cracked and they left early, embarrassed. When she finally found her voice as a young teenager, her parents suddenly treated her like she had worth. This reinforced the idea to her that she had no innate value.

• As she grew up Sasha began using her powers to charm and seduce people. She found she was able to make people adore/desire her in equal measure which gave her the validation she craved. She developed into a mean girl in high school, she was high status, catty and seductive. She had lots of romantic partners, but used them for validation and usually moved on quickly once she'd seduced them. She fell into a cycle of seduce, hook up, then ditch.

• Sasha went to Colorado Arcane University (CAU) when she was old enough. She continued being a mean girl, joining the cheer squad, leaning into glamour, and building a reputation where no one knew about her late-blooming powers. She was extremely glamorous, popular and hooked up with people casually and freely. She used her sharp tongue and siren charm to become a force, she was very notable on campus.
