the 13 Misfit Class second-years and 26 top-ranking first-year students face off against the Babyls teachers inside an emptied school.

  1. The Netherworld Political Conflict & Baal’s Plot

• Baal’s Grand Scheme: The rogue villain Baal maneuvers behind the scenes to destabilize the Netherworld, working to revive the ancient Demon King Delkira (Derkila) and harvest high-level mana.

Baal’s goal is radical: he wants to return the Netherworld to its ancient "Origin," a chaotic and savage era where demons gave in to their primal, destructive desires. To achieve this, he orchestrates a masterfully executed, multi-stage conspiracy designed to destabilize the governing body of the demon world.

Phase 1: The Seeds of Discontent & Infiltration

• The Six Fingers & Amy Kirio: Baal acts as the secret mastermind behind the "Demon Reformation" and funds terrorist cells like the Six Fingers. He initially utilizes the unstable Amy Kirio during the Babyls festival incident to test the school's defenses. • Infiltrating Babyls: Realizing that Sullivan's human grandson poses an unpredictable wildcard, Baal uses his political reach to place his subordinates, Atori and Shiida, inside Babyls as undercover teachers. During the Heartbreaker exam, Atori goes rogue to secure relics belonging to the ancient Demon King Delkira, signaling Baal's obsession with capturing Delkira’s lingering mana.

Phase 2: The Thirteen’s Dinner & The Three Grandsons

• The Demon King Candidates: The plot moves into high society during the Thirteen’s Dinner Arc. The "Three Greats" (Sullivan, Levi, and Belial) introduce their respective grandsons—Iruma, Leiji, and Razberry—as potential candidates for the empty Demon King throne. • Baal’s Realization: At the dinner, Baal witnesses Iruma’s bottomless appetite. To other demons, it looks like a funny quirk; to Baal, it represents a frighteningly pure manifestation of demonic "Greed." Baal realizes Iruma is a severe threat to his own aspirations and intensifies his efforts to discover Iruma's true nature.

Phase 3: The Masquerade Ball Deviculum Climax

The plot reaches a boiling point during the high-society Masquerade Ball Deviculum Arc, where two vacant seats among the Thirteen Crowns are set to be filled. • The Shocking Alliance: Baal secretly allies with Naberius Narnia (Kalego's older brother and a high-ranking Border Patrol official). Narnia hates the current status quo and wants a pure Netherworld strictly devoid of humans. • The Coronation & The Betrayal: At the Deviculum, Narnia and Mephisto are appointed as the new members of the Thirteen Crowns. However, Baal immediately weaponizes the situation to fracture demon politics. • The Barbatos Clan Conflict: Baal intentionally passes over Iruma's mentor, Barbatos Bachiko, for a regular seat, instead dangerously offering her Delkira’s empty chair. This calculated insult infuriates the powerful Barbatos Hero Clan, pushing the Netherworld to the absolute brink of an all-out civil war between the Hero Clans and the Thirteen Crowns.

Phase 4: Baal’s Ultimate "Genius Plan" Explained

As the manga progresses, Baal's chess pieces fall perfectly into place to completely upend society:

  1. Exposing the Human: Having confirmed that Iruma is human, Baal leaks this information. He uses a deity, Princess Shura, to corner Sullivan legally for the ultimate demonic crime: smuggling and harboring a human inside the Netherworld.
  2. Destroying the Old Symbols: Baal publicly dismantles Delkira’s royal crest, which had historically granted Sullivan legal immunity. By doing this, he shatters the public's blind faith in the ancient, missing Demon King.
  3. Forcing a Choice: With Sullivan facing severe imprisonment or execution, the power structure of the Three Greats collapses. Baal leverages the chaos to position himself as the only strong, logical leader capable of fixing the structural imbalance.
  4. The New Regime: By framing himself as a savior restoring order to a broken, corrupt system, Baal's trap forces the elite to grant him absolute authority—paving the way for him to claim the title of Demon King, purge his political enemies from the Thirteen Crowns, and legally hunt down Iruma

Characters and their dynamics with each other

Iruma Suzuki & Asmodeus Alice ("Azz-Azz")

• The Dynamic: From Rivals to Devoted Shield. • How it starts: They meet on day one when Iruma accidentally uses a forbidden-style wrestling move (tripping) to defeat Asmodeus in a school ranking challenge. Humiliated, Asmodeus swears absolute loyalty and servitude to Iruma according to demon custom. • Evolution: Asmodeus transitions from viewing Iruma as an intimidating superior to a fiercely protective, overly devoted best friend. He idolizes Iruma's kindness, panics whenever anyone disrespects him, and acts as his straight-man and tactical partner.

Iruma Suzuki & Valac Clara

• The Dynamic: Pure Chaos and Unconditional Acceptance. • How it starts: Clara initially approaches Iruma because she wants someone to play with using her summon/cheat-like toy-creation abilities, leading Asmodeus to warn Iruma to stay away. • Evolution: Iruma refuses to treat Clara as a nuisance or a tool, accepting her high-energy, eccentric personality completely. This anchors Clara, who becomes deeply attached. Alongside Asmodeus, Clara and Iruma form an inseparable trio, though Clara and Asmodeus frequently bicker and act jealously over who gets more of Iruma’s attention.

Iruma Suzuki & Azazel Ameri

• The Dynamic: Secret-Sharers and Mutual Empowerment. • How it starts: Ameri—the formidable Student Council President—suspects Iruma is human and drags him away to secretly have him translate her hidden obsession: a shoujo romance manga called First Love Memories. • Evolution: What begins as a blackmail-adjacent arrangement grows into deep mutual respect. Ameri learns to value Iruma's genuine empathy and agency, while Iruma finds a strong role model in Ameri. Over time, their bond develops clear romantic tension as both clumsily navigate adolescent feelings.

Iruma Suzuki & Lord Sullivan

• The Dynamic: Neglected Human Child & Over-Doting Demon Grandpa. • How it starts: Sold to Sullivan by his irresponsible human parents, Iruma expects to be eaten. Instead, Sullivan—the high-ranking demon and Director of Babyls—adopts him purely because he desperately wanted an adorable grandson to spoil. • Evolution: Sullivan's comical over-indulgence gives Iruma his first real experience of unconditional family affection. Even though Sullivan's antics frequently embarrass or overwhelm him, Iruma genuinely comes to love him as a true grandfather.

Iruma Suzuki & Opera

• The Dynamic: Strict Caretaker and Reluctant Employer/Ward. • How it starts: As Sullivan’s head security demon and household manager, Opera acts as the stern, cat-eared disciplinarian of the house. • Evolution: Opera keeps Iruma grounded, manages his schedule, prepares his meals, and handles the practical realities of Netherworld living that Sullivan ignores. Opera's deadpan, kuudere demeanor provides a steady, safe pillar for Iruma's daily survival.

Iruma Suzuki & Naberius Kalego

• The Dynamic: Tortured Teacher and Accidental Master. • How it starts: During the school's summoning ceremony, Iruma accidentally summons Kalego (his homeroom teacher) as his personal familiar due to a quirk in the ritual scrolls, turning the fearsome demon into a fluffy, chick-like "Eggy-teacher". • Evolution: Kalego is permanently exasperated and stressed by Iruma's chaotic luck and the secrets surrounding him, while Iruma lives in constant polite terror of his teacher's wrath—creating a hilarious dynamic where Kalego is technically bound to obey Iruma's orders.

The Misfit Class (Abnormal Class) operates as a tightly-knit, surrogate family where every member's individual quirk is weaponized for collective success. Initially isolated as the "problem kids" of Babyls, their internal dynamics shift from chaotic self-interest to absolute solidarity.

Iruma Suzuki & Shax Lied

• The Dynamic: Gaming Buddies and Casual Confidants. • The Connection: Lied is one of the few classmates who treats Iruma like an ordinary teenage peer rather than a revered figure or a delicate puzzle. They bond heavily over video games and snacks. During the Harvest Festival, their teamwork shines as they form a hilarious, sibling-like duo, trusting each other completely to pull off complex bluffs.

Iruma Suzuki & Sabnock Sabro

• The Dynamic: The Unintentional Rivalry of Kings. • The Connection: Sabro enters Babyls obsessed with becoming the next Demon King, initially viewing Asmodeus and Iruma as his primary obstacles. However, after Iruma risks his life to save Sabro from a Guardian of the Valley, Sabro develops massive respect for him. Sabro acknowledges Iruma as a worthy rival for the throne, establishing a healthy, honorable bond built on mutual push for growth.

Asmodeus Alice & Sabnock Sabro

• The Dynamic: Fire and Brimstone (The Eternal Clash). • The Connection: These two possess a classic competitive rivalry. Asmodeus views Sabro as a loud, uncouth brute, while Sabro sees Asmodeus as an uptight, elitist neat-freak. They constantly bicker over who is Iruma's true "right hand" or "best partner," yet when forced to fight together (like during the Walter Park crisis), their combat styles complement each other perfectly.

The Enigmatic Spies: Purson Soi & The Class

• The Dynamic: The Invisible Anchor. • The Connection: For a long time, Purson uses his bloodline ability to remain completely unnoticed by the class. Once he is finally integrated during the Music Festival arc, the dynamic changes beautifully. Instead of treating his forced isolation as a joke, the Misfits embrace him loudly, proving that no one gets left behind in the Abnormal Class.

The Supporting Chaos: Crocell Keroli, Andro M. Jazz, & Caim Kamui

• The Dynamic: Hidden Dimensions and Mutual Protection. • The Connection: • Keroli (Kuromu) hides her pop-idol identity from the school, but her classmates consistently protect her secret once they find out, showcasing the deep trust within the group. • Jazz acts as the cynical, older-brother figure who uses his pickpocketing skills to look out for the younger or more naive classmates, especially Lied. • Kamui, despite his relentless perversion, is instantly reined in by the girls (Clara, Keroli, and Elizabetta), creating a comedic dynamic where he is heavily disciplined but still fiercely reliable in a crisis.
