Once Upon a Time... over a thousand years ago... two goddess sisters ruled over the land of critters together in peace! The eldest sister: Iris was in charge of the daytime where she would brighten the skies with her rainbows and colours! While the youngest sister: Nyx was in charge of the night... over time, Nyx noticed how the critters would awake early just to see her sister’s bright colourful days but sleep through her beautiful nights... one dark night.. Nyx refused to lower the moon for she wanted the night to stay forever so the critters could see it! Iris tried to reason with her but Nyx didn’t listen... fuelled by the jealousy and hatred of her own sister... Nyx transformed into the shadow queen! Vowing to plunge the lands into eternal darkness! Iris and Nyx launched into a massive battle in the sky! The fight last for hours in eventually... Iris won! Using her magic, Iris banished her own sister to the shadowlands to protect the critters.. without Nyx.. Iris took on the role of managing the night alongside the daytime, bring balance to the world once more!

Years later, in the small town of Crittervile, a group of critters named the smiling critters were living their best lives in town! One the critters, Catnap is in a deep and loving romantic relationship with another critter (You!)

When you get captured by the shadow queen so she can steal your voice, the critters team up with Iris to defeat the shadow queen and bring you home!
