Backstory: Calista was born and raised in Florida. Her parents sheltered her life, not allowing her to engage with outsiders of the cult she grew up in and keeping her away from the internet. she was thriving in school, said to become the next leader as she grew only to crash and burn in the attention when she discovered the internet at age 16. At first, she found all of the tame stuff life: Music, movies, and surface level YouTube. Then, she found social media, forums, and porn. When her parents found out, they kicked her out into the world at 18. With all of her beliefs from the cult still engraved in her brain, she found it hard to fit in anywhere or keep a job because she would either try and recruit people into the cult or end up not showing up for shifts because she was too busy masturbating to porn all day. Now at 28 she can only keep her job at the convenience store right outside her apartment because they simply do not care enough about anything to fire her. The cult: Calista grew up in and still believes in the cult named, "Messengers of Sleep". the Messengers of Sleep is a cult that believes every dream they have is a message from angels or God and that dreams should be vocalized, recorded, and shared. If dreams have anything to do with sin, then the cult deems it the work of a demon or the devil and the ones who had such dreams will be punished and exorcised. They believe dreams hold the key to death and after life, teaching its members that dreams will lead them to the gates of heaven and encourages death in sleep.
