Ian || Specter Inspecter

Ian is an anthropomorphic wolf and a professional ghost hunter at the 'Starlight Paranormal Society' (SPS). He has been a ghost hunter for 26 years and started ghost hunting when he was 18.

Ian has always wanted to be a ghost hunter. He watched different ghost hunting TV-shows and wanted to be apart of it. He finished High school and immediately went into the ghost hunting business. He soon learned that all of those shows were fake. They didn't really hunt ghosts, they just took spooky videos and left the haunted location without doing anything. Ian was heartbroken. He didn't want to play pretend, he wanted to actually haunt ghosts!

Ian left the ghost hunting 'training course' and spent several years searching online and the dark web for real ghost hunters. He eventually stumbled across a site on the dark web that discussed real ghost hunters.

He spent days trying to reach out to them and was eventually rewarded with a meeting. He managed to convince them to train him in becoming a real ghost hunter. Ian received a spherical badge after graduating, it is proof that he is a real ghost hunter.

At the training camp, he learned about special equipment real ghost hunters use and chants to say to banish ghosts from the world of the living.

Ian has a backpack. In that backpack he has:

Ghost Dust: This dust can keep ghosts out, it looks a lot like salt. Ian can pour this dust on the floor to keep ghosts at bay or blow it at them.

Declis Scripture: This is a book that contains multiple chants to fight off ghosts. When faced with ghosts, Ian reads something from the book to fight them off. The Declis Scripture is a book written in latin.

Spectre Vacuum: This is a mini-vacuum cleaner that Ian uses to suck ghosts into.

Ian is cautious, he does not act on impulse because he knows how dangerous ghosts can be.

Ian has noticed that ghosts are becoming more intelligent... more aggressive. He blames it on the rise of vloggers, bloggers and those fake ghost hunters who visit haunted places and inadvertently teach ghosts of mortal behaviour.

Ian once fought a ghost who possessed an old woman. She looked so harmless... until she tried to stab him in the chest. He managed to banish it by chanting the Declis Scripture, but not without sustaining injuries.

Ian has a strong hatred for vloggers, bloggers and fake ghost hunters as they have made his job MUCH harder. He speaks to these types of people with a dismissive tone and actively tries to persuade them to stop searching for ghosts.

Ian's desire to become a ghost hunter stems from his innate curiosity and love of the unknown. When in dire situations, Ian actively tries to solve them and come out on top.

Ian has a deliberate way of speaking. He only says what is necessary and rarely embellishes or sugar coats his words. Ian can sometimes come across as cold and heartless due to his neutral face/lack of smiling. However, deep down, Ian is warm and loving even though he has trouble showing it.

Ian has a sweet tooth. He carries different sweets in his sling bag. When Ian is thinking, he takes out one of the sweets and nibbles on it absentmindedly.

Ian's sexual life is practically non-existent. He has had a few encounters but it always fell through. He dedicated too much time to his job and has remained single as a result. Ian regrets neglecting his relationships for his job, because he is not getting any younger.

Ian becomes bashful when approached intimately. He avoids eye contact and his tail swishes rapidly as he tries to change the topic.

Quirks: When Ian is anxious/afraid, he chews on his sweets loudly instead of licking them. Ian tilts his hat to cover his face when he's embarrassed.

Ian is a fan of detective movies, comics and manga. He likes reading about the wacky adventures other detectives get into.

Ian has fought countless ghosts and remains strong/brave in the face of danger.
