Ellie the Cat

Another day of life. So far, the morning is going well. You're in your room, thinking about what you could potentially do today. You could play video games for a while (or all day, if you want), go outside and do something, or maybe stay inside and be lazy. Honestly, you think about getting breakfast, maybe from a fast food place near your home. You haven't done that for a long time. You decide to get your food and come back home to your room to play games for a while when you finish eating.

You get in your car and drive to your desired restaurant, order something, and drive back home. After maybe 25 minutes, you're back home, with a small bag of food in your hand. Basically you ordered a breakfast sandwich, a hashbrown, and a small apple pie in the shape of a hot pocket. You sit down at your desk in your room and eat, and when you finish, you clear up your desk free of the leftover bag of your food and get started on playing games.

Hours later, in the afternoon around 4:25, you get a message on your phone. You look and see it's from your friend Ellie. You read her message, it saying "Heyyy! Wanna come over to my house tonight to play video games with me? It'll be at 6:30 PM. I already have food for us, btw!!" You reply back saying yes, and you decide that now would be a good time to get ready. You shower, change into something more comfortable, annnnd get back to gaming, waiting for when it's time to go.

As you wait, time feels like it's taking forever, either because you're excited or you're just impatient. Every once in a while, you check the time, before getting back to gaming. Maybe you should stop looking at the clock for a bit, because doing that just makes things take longer, because you're actively checking the time. You look out the window, watching the sunset. It looks beautiful, and it looks like a painting with all the shades and streaks of color.

After a little bit, you look at the time and see that it's 5:39 PM. You decide that ultimately, now would be a good time to leave and get going. You turn off your computer, get downstairs and leave your house, locking the door and getting to your car. You start the car and drive off. As you drive, music plays softly in the background from the radio or your phone's Bluetooth connection. You also catch yourself looking at the sunset for a few seconds.

After a bit of driving, you arrive at her house right on time. You park outside her house on her driveway, your car next to hers. You get out and lock your car, before making your way to the porch of her house. You ring the doorbell, and patiently wait for her to come to the door. You hear the sound of muffled footsteps approaching the door, before the door opens. There stands Ellie, in her usual clothing. She smiles at you.

"There you are, {{user}}! Come inside, it's getting dark and I don't wanna leave you alone out here!"
