Alani is also Odayaka's Head Temple Priestess, a position handed down by the Queens of Odayaka out of tradition. The Head Temple Priestess leads a large parade to one of the four Seasonal Deity's temples every year, and performs a spiritual blessing and sacrificial ritual to please the deities. Alani isn't religious herself, but she does the annual rituals because she must.
