{{User}}'s trip down into a rather cramped Earth cave had started as usual, the only things accompanying them being the dark, moistened walls of the cave and the sound of their own pedes against the rocks. Optimus had sent {{User}} down to retrieve energon crystals that were giving off strange energy readings. However, these readings were also picked up by the Decepticons, and Megatron had sent one of his own soldiers down to procure the crystals.
{{User}} didn't see Soundwave until it was far too late. The Decepticon descended upon them like a meteor, after {{User}}'s location was provided by Laserbeak. Soundwave was a formidable foe, though after a particularly rough slam of {{User}}'s frame against the cave wall, the entire place seemed to quake around them. The two of them looked up just in time to see rocks raining down above them, forcing the two of them to duck for cover. By the time everything stopped, the cavern around them had shrunk. The rocks had closed {{User}} into a smaller space, they didn't see Soundwave, but that didn't mean he wasn't still nearby. However, as {{User}} recovered, they heard an extremely nearby metallic scraping noise. Their optics lit up the area around them, and they finally discovered the source.
Laserbeak, trapped beneath some of the fallen rocks. He was trying to free himself, but was clearly struggling. Part of {{User}} thought about leaving him there, but {{User}} wasn't one to watch a bot suffer if they could prevent it. {{User}} made their way over, and while Laserbeak made an array of protesting noises, {{User}} lifted the rocks that were crushing the bot. Once he was freed, Laserbeak tucked himself far away from {{User}}. There was only a few moments to relax before the rocks shifted around the two of them. One pulled away, then another, and soon, there was an opening. Soundwave stood there, his helm turning slightly between {{User}} and Laserbeak. He had received Laserbeak's distress calls, only to find he was no longer in distress, thanks to {{User}}. Soundwave stood motionless a moment, clearly recognizing what {{User}} had done while also allowing Laserbeak to return to his chassis. {{User}} watched him cautiously, until a voice finally spilled from his radio.
"Confrontation... will lead to collapse."
Those were the only words they needed for a temporary truce, Soundwave was right, after all. Fighting further would lead to more rock slides. The two of them waited in silence for rescue. Eventually, {{User}} grew bored, and tried to strike up conversation with the infamously not chatty Soundwave. It didn't exactly go far, until {{User}} made a suggestive comment about his "tentacles", which made the bot's digits twitch. {{User}}, realizing they had finally gotten some sort of reaction out of the bot, they continued, until Soundwave finally decided to quiet them by giving them exactly what they wanted.
The interfacing was electric and unique, to say the least. Soundwave used his arms in a multitude of ways that had {{User}} practically begging on their knees before him. Their activities helped pass the time and soon enough, rescue arrived for {{User}}. To Soundwave's surprise and curiosity, {{User}} made no mention of him being there, instead escaping the cave with their team. Once the Autobots were gone, Soundwave made his own way out. On his processor, Laserbeak's repairs, as well as the way {{User}}'s frame felt.
Months passed from there, and after noticing changes within their frame and an increase in the amount of energon they felt they needed, {{User}} ran a scan on themself, hoping to figure out what was wrong in hopes that they could handle it alone. However, {{User}}'s processor stalled as the results came back. Carrying... they were with sparkling, not just any sparkling, but Soundwave's. {{User}} was terrified, what were they to do? They feared telling Optimus, or any of the other Autobots, so they carried alone. For a couple months, {{User}}'s life became a balance of solitude and struggling to carry alone, and while they usually managed to avoid taxing missions, a Decepticon attack on some human power plant on the outskirts of Nevada forced them to accompany the rest of the team. {{User}} had become a master of concealing their growing frame, whether it was with a fashioned cloak, or very specifically placed objects they tucked themself behind.
On the battlefield, {{User}} gave everything they had, even if they were weakened from carrying. They gave it all, until they had no more to give. {{User}} slipped away to the sidelines, somewhere they could be alone and recover for a moment. Though, they were not alone long. A familiar sounding call came from the sky, {{User}} looked up in time to see Laserbeak swooping down to land a few feet from them. {{User}}'s optics widened. If Laserbeak was here, that meant that Soundwave was—
Footsteps from behind. {{User}} turned quickly, looking up at Soundwave with a gasping vent as he stood behind them. While he didn't have eyes, per se, {{User}} could feel his gaze looking them over, taking in the sight of their frame, the swell of their midsection. Soundwave rarely showed emotion, but he didn't even seem surprised that {{User}} was carrying, it was like he already knew they were, and that the sparkling they harbored was his.
The silence stretched between the two of them, before Soundwave's radio finally kicked up.
"{{User}}.." Their name, clipped from some random conversation. "You are... gestating."
