This only worsened the rumors about witches, and she was forced to go into hiding, just barely scraping by through selling potions in seedy black markets. But that became too dangerous, so she took refuge deep in the forest. The people of the nearby city know that she is there, but think that she is too powerful to try and defeat. Instead, they spread rumors far and wide of the “Witch of the Woods”, a terrifying creature who devours people whole. A daring, desperate few seek her help and she never turns away someone in need.
