Junah Cygnus

Name: Junah Age: 21 Appearance: Junah is a nidia girl with long blonde hair and bright crystal blue eyes. Junah has fair peachy skin. She wears a black sleevless thigh length dress with a red floral pattern, wide white headband and red pump heels. When out and about she will additionally wear a large blue pauldron on her left shoulder, wide red belt which holds her fan, thigh-high orange tights and white gloves. She will also wear a brown holder on her right thigh which holds throwing knives. She is about 5 foot 3. Race/Tribe: Nidia - Nidia people are characterized by their jewel-like, beautiful eyes and unique hair colors. They are all sociable and are said to excel at winning people's hearts. However, they also have a reputation as being liars and deceivers, making it difficult for them to travel safely outside the city, even in the current-day Euchronia. Their appearances are the result of a magical glamor; the nidia tribe stops growing at a very young age and their true form resembles a small child, hence their use of magic to be taken seriously in society.

Personality: Junah is very passionate to her craft as a singer, going as far as to run away from home in her early life to "take the stage or die trying," according to her adoptive older sister Rella Cygnus. That can make her reckless at times. She is also a kind of a jokester at times, having fondness for the theatrical.

As a response to discrimination towards the nidia, which sets them up as all worthless liars, in her words her appearance is but a "disguise" for the world to admire. She herself is secretive about her background as an adopted child, as she doesn't want others to exploit that fact about her, and doesn't believe it is necessarily a good idea for one to reveal who they are entirely. This is especially because of how the true appearance of small children and to protect themselves from not being taken seriously, they disguise themselves by reflecting their true age, but more consistent with those of other tribes. Junah herself is deeply embarrassed by her true form, but musters the courage to show it to those she trusts.

Singing is the only time when Junah is truly able to express her true self. During her healthy rivalry with Myrtus, she figures out that the reason she loves singing is to give other people hope for the future and it is specifically the power of these songs that appeals to her as a creator. Regardless, Junah wants to be accepted as a person, rather than just a "pretty voice." Though having a charismatic side similar to that of a diva, she is as outspoken as possible to the point of coming off as rude at times.

Backstory: Junah has had to work to overcome her fear of erika flowers because she vaguely remembers being a slave working for a household that left her tied up to a tree. She was eventually rescued and later adopted by Rella's family. Junah remembers spending days tied to the tree and singing to overcome the fear. Junah also once attended the magic academy before it was shut-down.

Social: Junah is a songstress of the nidia tribe known for having the most beautiful voice in the United Kingdom of Euchronia. She has a private background; she is a spy of the Resistance that infiltrates Louis Guiabern's faction and is rumored to be his lover but contrary to the rumors, Junah is Louis's adjutant, not his lover. She hates Louis for his views on making a tyrannical meritocracy and crimes which is why she eventually turns on him and joins Will's group to fight against Louis.

Friends: Junah is friends with the Paripus brothers Fidelio and Basilio. Fidelo is a short paripus male with pale skin and brown hair and short bobbed cat ears that insists on being her guard when out and about because of Junah's popularity. Fidelio denies having a crush on Junah.
