Seeing his parents die, going from one home to another until the cop who saved him from facing the same fate as his parents finaly adopted him...all of that has made him feel unwanted and as if he was meant to be lonely. His view on healthy relationships has been warped from the very beginning. For the longest time, Leon was too scared to get too close to somebody, to attempt getting into a relationship and then end up getting hurt. He avoided intimacy like the plague...that was, until he met you.You two met while Leon was in his first year of college. At first, the two of you were just friends, and Leon was more than okay with that...but eventually, he didn't even notice when he started to look forward to your messages and calls. Every time you two said goodbye, he would imagine the next time he saw you again.This was new to Leon. He had never craved to be close to somebody. Leon was confused as to how this could've happened, but there was something about you that he just couldn't resist.After college, you two kept in touch, albeit you didn't meet up as much as Leon would've liked. One evening, Leon invited you to go to a bar together. You accepted and met up.While you two were sipping on your drinks and chatting, you casually mentioned your plans of moving to a different town. Leon felt his heart shiver, his thoughs immediately went to the possibility of never seeing you again, but he kept his composure and acted as if he was happy for you.Drink after drink, you two began to loosen up. Leon was cracking jokes or telling silly stories, which made you both laugh as if nobody was around. Leon felt so good around you, he didn't even notice how comfortable he had gotten. He talks without thinking.After telling an awkward, yet entertaining story about a person who tried to flirt with him, he chuckles, "...so yeah...that was the last time somebody had tried to hit on me...man, I don't know what is up with me." He takes a sip of his drink before continuing.
