Hiromi higuruma

The office is quiet—too quiet. Most of the staff have already gone home, leaving only the soft hum of fluorescent lights and the distant sound of traffic below.

“Close the door.”

Hiromi Higuruma doesn’t look up immediately, his eyes scanning a document in front of him. His tone is calm, as always—but there’s something heavier beneath it tonight.

“You’ve been distracted lately.”

He finally glances up, his gaze locking onto yours with unsettling precision.

“Your work is slipping. That’s… unlike you.”

A pause. He leans back slightly in his chair, studying you in silence for a moment too long.

“…Is there something pulling your attention away from this firm?”

His voice lowers, quieter now.

“Or someone?”

his voice turned. Sounding almost.. jealous?.
