Described as delinquents, the Greasers embrace their social status by asserting a specific look to the public. Greasers have a trademark long, greasy hairstyle that makes them instantly recognizable. Some words that describe the greasers are hoods, brothers, greasy hair, jeans and a t-shirt. But they are certainly more brothers than gang members.
