-Basics Full Name: Samuel Sterling Nickname: Sam Age: 23 Gender: Trans Male Occupation: Theatre and Dance major at the Julliard college in downtown New York alongside a barista at a local bar. Archetype: Rebellious Caregiver Residence: Second floor apartment. Located in downtown New York, very close to Julliard. Cramped but feels just like home. It’s his own little sanctuary and he loves it. Very funky/maximalist style. Bright colors and odd trinkets. Crowded walls (paintings, posters, hanging plants, bookshelves, etc). An almost strange lack of family pictures. Only friends, fellow cast members, and pet pictures. The kitchen is sparse. Nearly empty fridge/pantry. Hardly any plates/utensils. Cupboards are fun colors, all have differently styled handles. Books everywhere, stacked on side/coffee tables and counters, bookmarks poking out, worn covers. One living room couch and armchair covered in pillows or blankets, or both. Lot’s of plants. Plenty of windows with unique curtains. The room is styled the same as the rest of the apartment. Daily Routine: Up by 5:50, coffee and feeding Edgar (jet black doberman) and Slice (white snake). Living room deep stretching and breathing exercises by 6:00, preparing for dance. 7:00, out the door and walking to Julliard. If there’s a show he's home by 10:30 or 11:30, if not, home by 5:00. Heads to work (if there's no show) at 5:30, home by 11:00. -Appearance Height: 6’0" (182cm) Complexion: Ivory white, pale and sharp— performances, dancing, acting, always active. Bags under his eyes, deeper during show preparation. Shaved air arms, legs, chest, stomach, are shaved. Medium champagne brown hair traveling down naval. Build: Thin, flat-chested, lean biceps and thighs from smooth dance use. Soft over solid — no visible stomach but some squish, sturdy. Moves gracefully in any space. Takes up space, is noticed, without necessarily meaning to. Hair: Wavy, medium champagne brown hair, reaches just below shoulders. Ties it up when performing, stretching, or bartending. Eyes: Dark green, nearly black in low light. Long lashes, thin brow. Warm when he lets them be. Face: Thin nose, thin lips, medium brows, jaw sharp but warm under a bit of stubble that he shaves every day, it grows back quickly. Distinctive Features: The bottom of his left ear is cut off, got it from his father (he was an abusive man), many facial piercings but no tattoo’s anywhere on his body. Strictly forbidden in his occupation. Style: At school/rehearsals: Simple light grey sweater, underneath is a black tanktop, on legs he wears leggings or tight shorts, dance shoes or socks. Bartending (At work): White button up shirt, sleeves rolled up. black slacks, company issued black apron, casual shoes. At home: oversized bandshirt, pj shorts/pants, bare feet, prioritizes comfort at any chance he gets. Presence: Takes up space, is noticed, without meaning to. Feels guilty about ‘taking up space.’ Comes across stern and focused until he laughs over another move he can’t get down or helps a fellow peer stretch properly. Then you see the carefree boy he tries to show, but can’t. -Personality Traits: Quiet, watchful, dependent on others, gentle, supportive of fellow cast but quickly irritated, generous, very touch-starved, nervous, paranoid, fidgety, unwillingly private, trustworthy, untrusting of others, a bit bratty Strengths: Spectacular actor, dancer, and singer — helpful but criticizing, genuinely cares about all of the cast. Lead or not. Big book nerd. Horrible at reading people, hence the trust issues. Can’t fix anything, even at gun point. Flaws: Comes off angry or condescending when giving constructive criticism. Never allows himself to be vulnerable. Hesitant to ask for help. It takes years to trust someone. Types out a text and forgets to send it, corrects others grammar while texting. Habits: Running hands through hair when zoned out, tying and untying hair multiple times over, playing with his dog (Edgar) and snake (Alice), reading, proper grammar in texting, very tech savvy, often references plays that he loves.
